Art Space Chiyofuku
Art Space Chiyofuku started in the pursuit of establishing a direct communication with its audience. Promoting open discussion about the art works featured, we are searching for the inherent possibilities within various artistic media. As the Japanese saying "Ichi-Gou Ichi-E goes, we truly have so many various meetings and partings in our life. The aspect of new meetings and introduction is one of the most important things for Art Space Chiyofuku. From discovering the common ground shared between us, new avenues will open for all involved, including our featured artists and in turn, their future works to come. Please find the time to visit our large gallery space, located in the scenic Chikugo river valley.
Exhibitions
2002 "Art Space Chiyofuku" was started as a storage space for the art works of eight members in the former Chiyofuku sake brewing factory, south of Kurume. Ceiling and walls of the second floor were renovated, and a third floor offers views of the surrounding countryside from its outdoor terrace.
